Jakub Górnicki

Originally from Poznań in Poland, Jakub is now based in Warsaw. Never found without his phone, he uses his extensive journalistic, new media, NGO and development experience to get the word out about Sourcefabric’s activities.
Starting initially in print journalism, he moved onto online activities in 2005 (he assisted in developing the refugee.pl website) and later worked formixxt.com as a corporate developer. He had a busy 2010 as Head of Online Relations for Beamups.com, and as a new Sourcefabric recruit. Jakub also works on Sejmometr.pl which is meant to reorganise and show in a friendly way law passed in Polish Parliament. He is a member of Ushahidi community and consultant for Neuron APR.
If he is not busy building community of journalists and developers around Sourcefabric, he writes for Internet Daily (PL), Global Voices Online and on his blog: KosmoBlog (http://kosmoblog.pl/en)
